Day Trip To See the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

A couple of weeks ago we took a drive out to Mount Vernon to see the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. I don’t think anything screams springs quite like a field of flowers on a rainy day.

I had to goal to make it here this April since we missed it last year due to Loxley’s arrival. We ended up visiting on a rainy day at the end of April and it was so muddy, but so beautiful and so PNW! If you guys ever make it up there I definitely recommend wearing boots with good traction or visiting on a dry day. The mud was very slick and I almost fell multiple times. I will say it was pretty humorous to see everyone carefully shuffling their feet across the ground, but I do feel for the many people I saw covered in mud.
