Friday Favorites: Week 4 | Silk Quartz necklace from Intertwined by Bella
This & That

Friday Favorites: Week 4

I had another eventful week over here. We went strawberry picking, made some jam, and took a trip to the circus. I’ve also been prepping for our trip to Illinois next week. If you have any tips for flying with toddlers throw them my way. Today, I have some holds at the library to pick up and then a trip to Target because that’s how we do Fridays around here. Anyway, here are some of my favorites from the week.

Intertwined By Bella

This is an everyday favorite of mine. I got this silk quartz necklace a from Intertwined by Bella a few months ago, and I pretty much wear it every day. Intertwined by Bella is a shop based in Tacoma, WA and Bella is the sweetest person. She puts so much care into the jewelry and will gladly replace something if it breaks. You can check out her Etsy shop, here, and find her on Instagram, here.

Barnes and Noble

This is probably a given, but Barnes and Noble is one of my favorite places on Earth. It’s up there with Disney World. We went to B&N after strawberry picking on Saturday, and the girls went crazy. I usually do my book shopping alone and I’m notorious for putting books on hold at the library, so they were in book heaven. It was actually pretty stressful because they were tired, hungry, and excited all at once so I basically had no control over them, but it was fun too. Needless to say, I was a pretty proud mama at their enthusiasm over books, even if I was sweating from chasing them down and whisper scolding to put those books back.

Hu Chocolate

Hu Kitchen sent me some of their chocolates to try out and review a few months back and I have been hooked since. It is dark chocolate the is organic, paleo, and vegan-friendly. The chocolate tastes amazing and doesn’t have in of the crap that is harmful to your body. Plus, I love the company’s philosophy.

” The goal isn’t to just get by. The goal is to live actively, age gracefully, and flourish. We are inspired by quality food’s ability to heal versus poor quality food’s guaranteed to hinder. We started Hu to help people get back to eating, living, and thriving like humans.”

This Aloe Plant

As much as I want to be a plant person, I often kill any houseplants I take in, except for this aloe. This plant was tiny little guy when I first got it, but it is growing like crazy. I’ve already re-potted it once and will probably have to do it again here pretty soon.

Currently Reading

Have you checked out my summer reading list? I’m picking up The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo from the library today and I’m hoping to get it done before we hop on the plane next week. I’ve already got three books from my list packed in my suitcase because I would rather have too many than too few.

  1. I remember when I used to hang out in B&N when I was a kid! Loved it there. And um, just recently I went back only to find MY OWN BOOK on their bookshelves’!!!!! #dreamcometrue

  2. I can’t wait to hear how you like the book… that’s on my list too… Before the baby we had a monthly trip to Barnes and Noble. We just went on our first one since baby… looked a little different than our casual stroll through like we are use to haha!

    1. I’m only on the second chapter but I’m already super into it! And Barnes and Noble is definitely not the same with kids. I used to spend hours there sipping on my Starbucks. Now it’s a bit more rushed.

  3. Gosh, that necklace is so beautiful and I love it. That chocolate look so delicious and I want to try it too!

  4. I’m not a big fan of chocolate but would love to try this one, I’ll be checking my local store for it. I haven’t been to barnes and nobles in a long time, it’s time for a visit.

  5. I happen to really love the healing properties of quartz and hope that you’ve been able to make use of them since wearing your necklace.

  6. Barnes and Nobles sounds like a great place to visit with my kids and I am sure they are going to enjoy picking those strawberries.

  7. what an eventful week!wish I ain’t that busy too and have the time not only for work, that would be amazing haha, anyways, that is looks really fun

  8. I tried having Aloe Vera plant too before. My grandmother told me not to water it too often and avoid the soil from being pushed down.. So I always get my hands dirty because of that. It died anyways.
