Happy Friday! Hope your week is going well. Loxley has had a bit of a cold for the past couple days and it seems she has passed it onto me. It’s not terrible, just uncomfortable, so I’ve been trying to take it slow today. Here are this weeks Friday Favorites!
Veronica Mars Is Back!
I mean, really, how could this not be first on my list? If you haven’t heard of Veronica Mars then you need to get on Hulu and watch all of the episodes. It’s a show created by Rob Thomas and starring Kristen Bell about a woman that helps solve cases as a private investigator. I don’t want to go into it too much, but the show premiered in 2004. ended in 2007, was brought back for a movie through Kickstarter in 2014, and is now back on Hulu for its fourth season. I finished the season last night and my feelings about are all over the place, but in a good way.
Leaf and Lore
The candles I ordered from Leaf and Lore arrived this week and they are wonderful. The packaging and descriptions are beautiful and the scents are amazing. I ordered the Woodsman and The Enchantress. The Enchantress has a sweet floral smell that I just love but the Woodsman is definitely my favorite. The description describes it as, ” a breath of forest air and smoky cedar. The earthy musk of leaves and twigs underfoot. A hint of rugged spice.” And that is exactly what it is. If you’re looking for some candles or other literary-inspired goodies, check out Leaf and Lore.
I recently collaborated with Mapiful and they sent me one of their red map posters of Olympia. And how beautiful is this map? I hung it up with one of these wooden poster frames from Amazon and it was super easy. You can use code MAPIBOOK10 to save 10% on your own map poster through the end of August.
So I’ve started doing a thing. I had a goal of reading 100 books this year, which equals out to about two books a week. That goal was clearly a bit ambitious though. I don’t have as much time to read as I would like, and I’ve only been getting through about one book a week so I’ve started listening to audiobooks instead. Well, not instead of, more like, alongside. Basically, I’m currently reading two books. If you’ve read my Bookish facts, then you know I don’t (or didn’t) really like audiobooks. I used to avoid them like the plague because I hate being read to (I think this comes from popcorn reading in high school), but I’ve recently grown to love them.
