Our September Literati Box Review

Our September Literati Box

This post is in collaboration with Literati. All opinions are mine alone.

Hello, friends! It’s been a minute since I’ve shared what I’m reading with the girls, so I thought I’d share this month’s Literati box with you, as well as a quick update on some fun things going on this month.

If you don’t know what Literati is, it is a children’s book subscription box for $9.95/month. We’ve been getting this box for over a year now and still get excited with every box. You can check out my Literati box review from last year, here, and take a look at what we’ve gotten in previous boxes, here.

Our September Literati Box

The theme of our September Literati Box was Animalia, so all of the books had something to do with animals. It also came with animal-themed book stickers and a fox hand tattoo. I always love the diversity in the books we receive. The Literati team does a wonderful job picking a mixture of long reads and short reads, along with something this is more interactive.

Books we decided to keep:
How Do Animals Talk?
Secret Pizza Party

If you are interested in trying out Literati, you can use my referral link for $5 off your first month off any new subscription, which is essentially a free first month.

Sustainability and Giving Back

Since last year, Literati has changed the way you send back your books. Instead of using a new poly mailer that was sent inside the box, you can now send your books back using the box they were sent to you in. This was a really exciting change for me because it got rid of a ton of unnecessary waste.

Did you know that you can also use that same Literati box to send back any books you’d like to donate? Literati has partnered up with hundreds of schools, libraries and organizations across Texas to make sure every child has access to the best the literary world has to offer. This year alone, they have donated more than  18,000 books thanks to Literati club members.

Literati October Challenge

I’m excited to announce Literati’s first-ever Literati challenge. Each month, they will put together a unique, one-of-a-kind activity that extends the reading experience into your imagination, and this month’s challenge is #BookOrTreat! It is a children’s book themed Halloween Costume Contest exclusively for Literati Club Members.

This is your chance to get dressed up, and win $500 to give to your favorite charity. How to participate:

1. Take a photo dressed as your favorite children’s book character (kids, pets, and adults are welcome to participate). Feel free to get your whole classroom involved too.

2. Post your photo to Instagram and tag #literati, #BookOrTreat and @literati. Include in your caption your book(s) and character(s).

3. Tag your literary friends and fellow teachers and invite them to join in to support their favorite charity.

One GRAND PRIZE WINNER will have $500 donated to the charity of their choice. Two RUNNER UPS will each have $250 donated to the charity of their choice. The deadline for posting is November 1st at 12AM CST. Winners will be announced on November 8th.

Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see our book-themed costume for the Literati Challenge.
